Using OAuth Authentication for Athento

OAuth is an authentication protocol for both web and mobile applications. This open-source protocol allows users to use their credentials to log into different applications without needing to create a new account for every application they user.

Facebook, LinkedIn, Dropbox or Google are some of the applications or suppliers which allow users to use this type of authentication.

Thanks to Athento being able to use the OAuth protocol, it’s possible to have a button on Nuxeo (or any other ECM) which allows Nuxeo users to get into Nuxeo by using the information that Athento has stored about them. We’re also working on being able to offer a Dropbox login soon. As of now, the technical infrastructure is already available. Check out our Documentation Center to see the documentation that shows you how to use OAuth to log into Athento.
